Introducing Bronze by Armac Martin

Introducing Bronze by Armac Martin

Signalling a grand new bronze age for modern living, capture the superlative beauty of a material renowned for its strength since antiquity with Bronze by Armac Martin.

Drawing inspiration from fine art, where bronze has been favoured for the creation of sculptures throughout the ages, (such as The Thinker by Auguste Rodin and New York’s iconic landmark, The Statue of Liberty by Frédéric Auguste Barthold) each intricate piece is artfully crafted from the finest bronze to adorn interior cabinetry with a rich warmth and enduring style.

Formed in Birmingham and cast in pure bronze, our new collection of decorative cabinet hardware presents a step back in time to our 1920s heritage, when bronze castings were once fashioned in our factory.

From cabinet handles to cabinet knobs, our solid bronze designs are available in both silicon bronze and white bronze. Showcasing the innate prestige of the material, silicon bronze and white bronze will oxidise naturally over time, further adding rustic character to each imperfectly perfect piece.

Design story

Drawing on the form, finish and detail of pottery-making, traditional hardware shapes capture the elegant charm of eras gone by to create lustrous works of captivating interior art in our solid bronze Oldbury collection.

In a duo of plain and fluted designs that celebrate the imperfectly perfect aesthetic of a material renowned for its strength, Oldbury is a timeless choice for classically contemporary interiors.

As our debut collection, Oldbury is inspired by age-old crafts, with a strong focus on different textures including metal, wood and glazed surfaces. Inspired by the work of Niina Kratz and Dagmara Victoria, we explored relief art, hand-built sculptures, ceramics and concrete, paying attention to the intricate hand-carved details and the natural weathering/erosion of surfaces. This route of inspiration led to further research into bowls, vases, tiles and pottery where the pieces feature visually beautiful techniques that could translate to our hardware.

The pieces in our debut bronze design story, Oldbury, harness the beauty of different surface details and the contrast in organic lines and shapes.
