2019 has truly been a remarkable year for us here at Armac Martin. From new collection launches to award wins and more, we wanted to share with you the moments that have made our anniversary year so memorable. Without further ado, please join us as we take a look back at our 90th year in business.
New launches
This year, we launched two new collections, MIX and Harold. As creators of luxury brass hardware, design is one of the most important elements when bringing new pieces to the market. In the spring, we launched the first of two new collections, MIX. This collection enables our customers to create their own version of the range by selecting the style and finish of each piece of hardware and we’re thrilled with the response so far. The second new collection to launch, Harold, was particularly special for us as it was designed to mark our 90th anniversary. We hold our heritage at the heart of everything we do and so our inspiration came from our original founder.
Industry events
In 2019, we’ve also expanded our global distribution network to China, exhibiting at leading international event Design Shanghai in March and then later in the year in North America at ICFF New York. These industry events are a wonderful platform for us to establish new business relations, with top architects, interior designers, property developers and retail buyers from all over the world in attendance and so we’re looking forward to exhibiting at more events next year to showcase our collections.
Our business birthday party
We couldn’t let 90 years in business pass us by without a birthday celebration for our wonderful team and so we partied the night away with music, drinks and desserts. The whole Armac Martin team (all 100 of us) gathered to celebrate in style. As a Birmingham based business, we made sure to bring in local businesses for the night including Yard Birds and the Bournville Waffle Company and we even had personalised bars of Cadbury’s for every staff member to take home too.
Award wins
Just last month, we celebrated an award win for Excellence in Industry at the prestigious Birmingham Business Excellence Awards. This award was a huge honour and achievement for our dedicated team and alongside this, we also placed as a finalist for Family Business of the Year too – a fantastic way to mark 90 years as a family business now in its fourth generation. Now for 2020…
As we move into a new decade, we have lots of exciting things planned for the year ahead and beyond. We’ll be continuing to invest in training, plant and equipment to ensure we continue to bring the very best in luxury brass hardware to the market and we also have plans to extend our product offering in 2020.
